True Edge Base

A little extra support and leverage is often needed to assist with getting in and out of bed or to reduce the fear of sliding off the edge.  The combination of a firm row of springs to the outer edge of the mattress and strong supportive perimeter to the pocket sprung base deliver comfort in the sleeping areas and support and durability to the hardworking sides of the bed.

Reinforced Platform Top Base

Being the first Company ever to develop a platform top base, we know a thing or two about this construction.  Hand built with quality materials, with no less than seven lateral supports (in a 150cm bed) and heavy duty construction means that you can have confidence that a Harrison reinforced platform top base will last for years. 

Slim Base on Legs

For an alternative design to your bed base, we offer a slim base on legs.  Designed in the same way as a True Edge base offering comfort and support but the frame is only 13cm deep offering the perfect base for underbed storage of large items.  You can choose from any of our leg options for this base.

The purpose of using natural fibres such as wool, hair and cotton in our mattresses is to create a comfortable micro climate which regulates the body temperature. Each of the different fibres has its own unique characteristics.

	Soft White Cotton Blend – In addition to its durable and hygienic qualities, cotton is soft and highly absorbent which means it is good at wicking away moisture, keeping you cool and comfortable.
	Egyptian Cotton – Longest length, finer strands make Egyptian Cotton the softest and finest cotton used in mattresses.  It is very efficient at wicking away moisture and so improving the cooling properties of your mattress.
	Wool Rich Blend – Wool is a wonderful, natural insulator keeping you warm in bed but it also has the benefit of wicking away moisture and so improving the cooling properties of your mattress.  It is also static resistant.
	Home Reared Hand Teased Wool - Sheep from our own farm specially reared to produce wool with the best characteristics for comfort and durability.
	Hand Teased Blend –This handteased blend of Cashmere and Wool is soft yet strong and resilient.  Blended with White hair and Hempure it is extremely durable but remains sumptuous.
	Deluxe Hand Teased Blend - This handteased special blend contains Cashmere and Silk which provide a soft yet strong and highly resistant layer to the mattress.  Blended with Horse and White hair, adding a firm, durable and well ventilated natural filling.
	Horsehair - Natural, springy and resilient, horsehair has for many years been used in high quality upholstered items and is hand teased and layered on the lower part of the mattress. It adds durability and loft.
	Cashmere Wool – Luxuriously soft with good loft. Cashmere is extremely warm and one of the finest materials available to sleep on.
	Cashmere Hair - Natural, springy and soft, similar to horsehair but with a softer feel, used only in the hand teased mixes low down in the fillings mix.
	Mohair - A very fine, almost silk like fibre and like wool, regulates body temperature in the mattress. It is softer and smoother than wool providing a sumptuous, luxurious feel.
	Mohair & Silk Blend –Mohair is a very fine fibre and like Wool, regulates body temperature in the mattress.  When blended with Silk, the strongest natural fibre, it is supremely smooth, sumptuous and luxurious.
	Silk - Luxuriously soft yet very strong and absorbent, making silk excellent for temperature regulation.  Used to bind hand teased mixes together, it is found low down in the fillings mix.
	Natural Latex – Formed from natural rubber and moulded with air pockets for breathability – resilient and long lasting. It is anti-microbial making is perfect for allergy sufferers. Soft and supportive and relieves pressure points.
	Hempure - With its excellent properties for absorbency and strength and because it’s grown without the use of pesticides, Hempure is a natural and greener alternative to the oil based polyester fibres which are used in many mattresses.
	Memory Foam - Reacts to body heat which allows it to mould itself to the shape of a warm body within a few minutes. The moulding qualities of memory foam give pressure relief on the heavier parts of the body allowing good blood circulation. A memory foam mattress is usually denser than an ordinary foam mattress. This makes it more supportive.

Small particles of specially selected foams are hand teased between two layers of fabric to create a fluid and breathable cushioning layer for increased comfort and airflow. The foams used are memory foam, high resilient foam and natural latex.
